This animation was completed in GIT 411. The goal was to create visual storytelling through animation. I decided to make a scene of a New Years countdown to midnight that served as an asset for a client's video stream. This initial sketch shows the basic composition.

By the end of the second milestone I had this. I filled the space with more assets to make the composition visually interesting, this is where I had the idea to add a clock to convey the New Years setting without words.

This is the final composition before I began animation at milestone three. It has some inconsistencies that I would later fix for the animation. I added dynamic lighting and removed the tablet so that the moon and the butterfly chandelier could be the only light sources.

The final render of the animation. I hand animated the character, used After Effects for the chandelier, snow, and fireworks, and added music and sound effects in Premiere Pro.
